The first violinist I came to appreciate and admire for his breathtaking skills and incomparable personal expression, Itahak Perlman celebrates his 67th birthday today. To celebrate both the man and his incredible music, here is a stunning display of Pearlman’s grace with the violin, (and a bit of his stage humor for good measure!) shown through the work another figure of violinist greatness, Pablo de Sarasate.
