time to change the way we view music and the arts

Rabbits and Royalty

No, before you ask, this has nothing to do with Prince William and Katherine Middleton’s upcoming wedding.

To all those that celebrate, Happy Easter! And even if you don’t celebrate Easter, you should definitely celebrate the flawlessly beautiful weather! (If you live in the New York area that is.)

Since it is as nice as it is right now, no person should be sitting on the computer for very long. Spring isn’t pulling any pranks today and I’m thrilled to get some fresh air. Knowing this, I’m simply leaving you with a link to an excerpt from the live stage dance adaptation of “The Tales of Beatrix Potter.” This video seems entirely fitting and is quite the performance by members of the Royal Ballet and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.

There is also a 1971 film adaptation of the ballet with the same name, if you are interested in knowing or seeing more. đŸ™‚

(For those not familiar, Helen Beatrix Potter was a reputable English author, famed heavily for her children’s books. “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” was her first published story and is one of the most well known.)

Anyway, I promised not to keep you! Enjoy!
